Dragon's Lair is a whitelist Survival server for Zac and his community to play together on. The server is powered by Nodecraft, a hosting company Zac has been working with since 2020. This page is here to offer information on the server and answer some frequently asked questions, if you find a question unanswered please ask the community on Discord.

What does it cost to join?

Nothing! You don't have to be a supporter on Ko-Fi, Twitch, YouTube or any other platform. All that is asked is that you are a regular viewer, good member of the community and able to follow the rules.

What are the Rules?

1. Family Friendly Chat - Offensive language will not be tolerated.

2. No Hacks - Speed Hacks, X-Ray etc. (anything that gives you an unfair advantage) are not permitted. We are happy for players to use Optifine, Litematica, Minihud and Minimaps if they wish to. 

3. No Griefing - Destroying the builds of other players is prohibited. It is tolerated to harvest from other players’ farms if you replant.

4. No Raiding/Stealing - Do not steal from other players. Even if a building looks abandoned, it does not necessarily mean it is.

5. Conditional PVP - PVP without consent will not be tolerated.

6. Label Your Builds! - It's important players know who to direct questions/queries relating to a build to. Please also consider labelling permissions if you wish to grant them (i.e. This Farm is free for all to use, do not touch contents of Barrels).

7. Streaming Behaviour - If a player is streaming from the server please respect their boundaries. If you might like to assist please ask and honour their wishes. 

8. Performance Guidance - In an effort to keep the server running smoothly for everyone we ask all players to consider their impact on the server performance. Things to consider might include, Redstone Lag, Mob Counts etc.

9. Be a part of the Community Discord - As a collaborative server it's essential that players can communicate.

Is the server Vanilla?

The server is powered by a slightly modified version of Minecraft to allow for better performance, tracking etc. But essentially the server should behave the same as a Vanilla server. We do however have a couple datapacks for the benefit of all that play, which are:

1. Single Player Sleep - This allows anyone to sleep through the night.

2. Dragon Drops Elytra - Those that wish to explore and raid the end can do so, but by removing the need to do so allows us to keep the end dimension at a more reasonable size.

Complete the application form. Please be patient as it's a manual assessment, if however you haven't heard back after a few days feel free to give Zac a nudge on Discord.
